Why visit: Shopping, People, Architecture, Longest street in Belgrade
Also known as: Bulevar, Bulevar Revolucije
King Aleksandar boulevard, or just Bulevar, is the largest street in urban Belgrade, stretching over 7 km from the city center to the Zvezdara district in the east. Along the boulevard, there are numerous monumental buildings, several parks and squares and major university buildings. It is also one of the largest shopping zones in the city, featuring boutiques and craft shops with relatively cheap clothes, shoes and accessories.
The most important buildings in the avenue are the National Parliament, Central Post Office, St. Marko church, the Faculty of Law, the University Library and the Technical faculties building. There are several parks and markets along Bulevar: The Pioneers park (former royal palace gardens), Tašmajdan park, Park of St. Cyril & Methodius (aka. Vukov Spomenik), Đeram market and Cvetkova market.
